Embedded computing is what allows us to carry around a flashy cellular phone that can give you access to the Internet so you can find a place to stop for lunch while you are driving in your car.  Other things you can do thanks to embedded computing are your portable navigational systems that also allow you to find your destination if you do not know where you are going.  It makes you wonder how we got around and communicated before all of this technology became of age.  Simple communication has evolved from people talking to each other on the phone to now communicating through various means.
