The very first things that you learn about Hebrew are these: Hebrew is read from right to left, and it has a very distinctive alphabet. Learning the Hebrew alphabet is really not as intimidating as you might at first think. Just start by memorizing three or four letters, then go back and pick up one more each time, and memorize that set, and so forth. You will find that you will have a good grasp of the Hebrew alphabet in no time at all, and soon you will be learning several new words along with each set of letters. Just keep trying!
