My husband works really hard and his birthday has always been really important to him, but once we were married, his birthday and my birthday are only two days apart. So we started celebrating our birthdays together. I never even realized it bothered him until last year when he went to bed upset. I talked to him and I found out that he just wanted to have his own day. This year I am throwing him a surprise party two weeks before his birthday. We have laid all the plans and he will never feel left out again on his day.
