My father had always been very thin while he was growing up and as a young man. Since he hit fifty years old, he has gained over fifty pounds. Now, my mother has been complaining about his weight, and we have all been trying to help him become healthier. I was wondering if eating only low carb foods would be good for my father to lose weight, or if that would not give him enough energy. I have heard of several women doing that kind of diet in order to lose weight, and it worked out great for them. I am not sure what kind of balance a man needs in his diet, though.
