I recently started a new job and it was amazing to me how many orientation classes that I had to attend before I could officially start my job. I had a class on customer service, which I can understand nowadays but then I had a lengthy one on health and safety standards. Because they are standard I thought that everyone knew about the safe practices that they should employ both on and off the job. It was a really good refresher course and I could see how it would be important to review for the safety sake of the employers.
