The NSW Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000 is the latest version of the legislation which was formed 4 decades ago. The key objective of the act is to ensure proper health environment conducive for the employees to work in. The act ensures that employees should be made well aware of the health risks within the organization so that they are able to take the maximum possible security measures.

It protects the employees’ rights with respect to compensation in case of an accident. The act safeguards employee’s interest by ensuring welfare for them. It ensures well coordinated and we co-operated network between the employee and the employers in achieving the objective of the act. It develops and promotes community awareness regarding occupational health & safety measures.
