DMS stands for Document Management System. As a SAP job would normally entail detailed work within databases and other software applications, SAP Document Management might sound like a redundant term. However, SAP DMS jobs concern the use of SAP programs in the storage and maintenance of, as it were, “hard copies” of important documents. This could include photographs, pictures, proofs, CAD drawings, and so on. The SAP DMS engineer is essentially the go-between for the client and his or her documents. While electronic documents save resources, there will always be at least a minimal need for tactile documents for presentational and other purposes.
