I send out personalised cards every year, and have for many years.  This year I am on a tight budget and thought they might be out of my price range.  I did not want to change my traditions, so I was happy to see that there are so many selections of personalised christmas cards that are in my budget and still beautiful and thoughtful.  To me cards are one of the most important part of the season where you reach out to people that you may not talk to that often.  There is always at least one person I have not heard from in a while who calls me each year after getting my card.
