I’ve read that one state has plans to launch its first international business incubators to attract foreign companies this year and even announced its first tenant. An agreement has been signed to establish the incubators, which will provide business development services and leasing space to lure foreign companies. The governor’s International Advisory Council, which met for the first time, will lead the efforts to attract international companies. Officials have been aggressively courting foreign companies, already attracting fourteen in the past year. Will international business incubators create more or fewer jobs for locals; is this helping our economy or ultimately hurting it?
