GPS is a constellation of around 24 satellites whilst EGNOS is a satellite based augmentation system improving the GPS performance by broadcasting error corrections to the users via three geostationary satellites. This means that without a GPS signal, EGNOS can not work. Gps is working fine as evidenced by several other apps using it. Also once I got port 19780 (I think or something like that) is already bound. Auto Gps Systems like the Garman Gps 12xl need not be too complicated to use.
