I have a meeting today regarding apprenticeships and career guidance. I am meeting with my student adviser. I am a junior in college, but this semester is about to end, and I will soon be a senior. I only have two semesters to go before I graduate from college and receive my diploma. When I meet with my adviser, we will discuss the courses that I will take over the next two semesters and the apprenticeships that I will complete during that period of time as well.

I have taken a job in Europe and need to sell most of my furniture. The modern sideboard from my dining set is the piece that I do not want to part with the most. I was volunteering last week at a job fair for Auckland hotels, and I was extremely surprised by the lack of people that took advantage specifically do to the harsh economic climate. Recently I returned to work from maternity leave. Everyone was happy to see me and welcomed me back with open arms. Everyone, that is, except my supervisor. She is a pretty technical person; maybe she should install some CRM software. That way she might realize that you should treat people with a little dignity and respect. Instead of saying “welcome back, we missed you,” the hello I got on my first day back at work was “why did you order this form? From now on you have to consult me before doing anything like this.” I sure hope she doesn’t treat our customers like this!
